Description & Purpose
River Haven is Hudson River Housing’s dedicated program for youth experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or family conflict in Dutchess County. Offering a wide range of services, River Haven includes an Emergency Shelter, Transitional Living Community (TLC), and outreach initiatives to provide critical support for at-risk youth aged 10 to 21. The program serves as a lifeline, offering a safe, supportive environment where young people can regain stability, build life skills, and work toward a brighter future.
The purpose of River Haven is to provide immediate shelter and support for vulnerable youth while fostering long-term solutions that promote independence and resilience. Through housing, counseling, educational support, and life skills training, River Haven empowers youth to overcome adversity and build the foundation for a successful and self-sufficient future. By addressing the unique needs of each individual, River Haven not only provides immediate relief but also equips young people with the tools they need to thrive.
River Haven reflects Hudson River Housing’s commitment to ensuring no young person in our community faces homelessness or hopelessness alone.
