The Poughkeepsie Trolley Barn is a community space by and for diverse art practitioners that serves as a hub for the promotion of the arts in Poughkeepsie. Hudson River Housing is committed to stewarding the Trolley Barn as a place where artists and community members can meaningfully connect with each other and celebrate what makes Poughkeepsie a unique and special place. The Trolley Barn presents a special opportunity to showcase how the arts can make a transformational difference in the lives of youth and adults.
The Trolley Barn is a venue for presenting work by diverse art practitioners, residents, and community organizations in the Hudson Valley. The community gallery is managed by a volunteer committee that sets the exhibition calendar for the year. The committee is not currently accepting exhibition requests for the 2020 calendar year.

The Gallery will launch open hours on February 17th, 2020 of 11am -4pm Monday – Friday. Additional hours vary by exhibition.
Events and Classes
The gallery is available to rent for a variety of private and community events. A list of preferred caterers from the Poughkeepsie Open Kitchen is available upon request. Discounts are available for City of Poughkeepsie residents and nonprofits. The gallery can also serve as a venue for film screenings, workshops, classes, meetings and more.

Hudson Valley Performing Arts Lab
The Lab provides opportunities to experiment with the performing arts through educational and community-centered programming in the Hudson Valley. The Lab occupies space on the second floor of the Trolley Barn.
